Vital Signs (1985-1986)
Overview
Vital Signs was a Morgantown, West Virginia Rock and Pop cover band active from 1985 to 1986. The group focused on high‑energy, early‑MTV‑era material, building a tight three‑song set featuring Cyndi Lauper’s She Bop, U2’s Pride (In the Name of Love), and Rush’s Red Barchetta. Despite its short lifespan, the band earned local recognition by winning a Battle of the Bands competition, showcasing strong musicianship and the ability to handle rhythmically demanding material. Vital Signs disbanded in 1986 when vocalist Hunter Storm relocated to New York.
