The people behind the sound

Meet the band.

Four musicians. One stage. No apologies. No playing it safe. Just four musicians, a wall of sound, and the kind of attitude that doesn’t ask permission. Meet the people behind Horns Up. They bring the noise. They bring the talent. The volume is loud. The personalities are bigger. Meet the musicians who bring Horns Up to the stage, own their sound, and leave nothing in the tank.

Hunter Storm performing with Horns Up

Hunter Storm

Lead vocals

Known as The Metal Valkyrie, Hunter Storm brings the commanding voice, attitude, and unmistakable stage presence to Horns Up. From original Heavy Metal to hard-hitting covers, she drives the band’s sound with a no-holds-barred approach to live performance. She was the lead singer for Asphalt Playground, Commandment, Deception, Flipside, Pat Benatar tribute Best Shots, Radio Logic, Rock Addix, Valkyrie (Whiskey Blu), Vital Signs, and Where’s Valentino. She has also performed and recorded with several other acts, such as AC/DC tribute The Jack, Frankenshred, Shawn Welch, Stereo Rex, and Trick or Treat. Hunter and Rob Erwin have also collaborated on a solo project, with Rob contributing guitar work. Her performance history includes sharing stages with A Flock of Seagulls, BulletBoys, Gilby Clarke, L.A. Guns, London, Lynch Mob, Pretty Boy Floyd, Raven, Tesla, Sacred Reich, Sister 7, Vixen, and other established Rock and Metal acts. A versatile vocalist with a powerful range and a passion for Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, Hunter moves comfortably between classic rock anthems, soaring metal vocals, and powerhouse performances. The music is loud, the energy is real, and front and center stage is exactly where she belongs.

Johnny Frankenshred performing guitar with Horns Up

Johnny Frankenshred

Guitar

Some guitarists play the notes. Johnny Frankenshred puts on a show. Known for taking Van Halen solos one-handed with the guitar behind his back—and even playing face-up on the floor or on a table—Johnny brings serious guitar chops and a flair for the unexpected. He has a broad musical history, and was the guitarist for Commandment, Exiled, Frankenshred, Hammerstar, Iron Ozzy, St. Madness, and Whisper Alley. Ordinary is not in his vocabulary.

Rob Erwin performing bass with Horns Up

Rob Erwin

Bass

A formidable bassist with the versatility of a classical guitarist, Rob brings exceptional musicianship and depth to Horns Up. His musical career includes serving as the bassist for Asphalt Playground, Cason, Commandment, Crossbones, Exiled, Frankenshred, Redrumed, Scott Rowe’s Alice Cooper Tribute, and Ultimate Bon Jovi. Rob has also collaborated with Hunter Storm on a solo project, contributing his guitar work. Rob’s musical experience also includes performing as Ozzy Osbourne in Iron Ozzy. Equally at home with the power of Heavy Metal and the precision of classical guitar, Rob brings a distinctive combination of skill, experience, and musical range to the band.

Lee Weiss, drummer for Horns Up

Lee Weiss

Drums

The pulse behind the power. Lee Weiss takes his place behind the kit, driving the rhythm and giving Horns Up the foundation to deliver its sound live. Lee was also the percussive drive behind original band Ingraved, Mötley Crüe tribute Starry Eyes, and Ozzy Osbourne tribute Iron Ozzy, bringing experience across original music and tribute performances. When the volume goes up and the band hits its stride, the drums keep the energy moving.

The long game

Experience
has a sound.

We’ve put in the miles, played the rooms, and made the music. Every chapter has left its mark. This is the story behind the sound, the people who shaped it, and the road that brought Horns Up here.

Built over time.

A sound like this doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built through the years, the miles, the musicians, the stages, and the moments that leave their mark. Every experience adds something. Every performance brings it to life. This is Horns Up—shaped by the road, driven by the music, and always ready to turn it up.
