Through the Looking Glass | Personal Reflections

Some things are best understood not through a technical paper, a formal analysis, or a neatly defined category, but through reflection.

Through the Looking Glass is a collection of personal reflections, narrative nonfiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and other works by Hunter Storm that explore the human side of technology, responsibility, experience, and the world around us. These pieces emerge from observation, lived experience, hard-earned lessons, and questions that don’t always have simple answers.

Some are serious. Some are irreverent. Some are quiet observations; others challenge assumptions, expose uncomfortable truths, or find meaning in unexpected places. What connects them is not a single subject, but a willingness to look beyond the obvious and examine what lies beneath.

These are not research papers or technical documentation, although they may draw upon decades of professional experience and systems-level thinking. They are personal works that make room for the human perspective: the people behind the systems, the lessons behind the experiences, and the meaning that emerges when we stop long enough to look.

The view through the looking glass is not always comfortable, conventional, or what we expected to find. That is part of the point.
