Although firearms may be scary for some, Hunter Storm was raised in a home and a state where they are akin to household appliances. In other words, Hunter sees them as simply another tool or piece of sporting equipment.

She also grew up around firearms because her father was a Military Police Drill Sergeant. That meant she learned about firearms safety from a very young age. Although marksmanship and tactical training are fun, relaxing hobbies for her, she never takes her eyes off the target of safe handling.

Hunter’s passion for tactical shooting sports fuels her dedication to mastering various shooting disciplines, including pistol, rifle, and shotgun. She enjoys running multi-gun, multi-target drills, finding them a Zen and relaxing experience. In fact, Hunter finds shooting so relaxing she sometimes refers to it as “kinetic golfing.” However, tactical training carries greater risks than golf, so she treats it with the utmost caution and respect. As a dedicated global risk management expert, Hunter understands the need to keep her skills sharp. So, as a former CAT 1 inline speed skater, she trains like every day is race day. Just as with her athletic training, Hunter loves the feeling of being “in the zone,” so practice never feels like work to her.

She has achieved the highest level of proficiency by shooting the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board AZPOST qualification at the instructor level with an astounding record of only one miss. The “miss” was a shot that broke the line; it did not miss the target.

To attain this level of skill, Hunter trained with some of the best in the field. She worked with three different firearms instructors, including Brad Battaglia, lead instructor at Scottsdale Gun Club, Dave Laird, CEO of DCS (Dynamic Combative Solutions), and Jon Antrim. She has received over 1,000 hours of individual instruction from these firearms experts.

She dedicates herself to regular training, including dry fire drills and live fire sessions, ensuring her skills remain sharp and refined. Hunter has over 1,000 hours of formal firearms and tactical training with experts in their field.

Demonstrating her commitment to safety and expertise, she completed the Road Guardians Accident Scene Management (ASM) courses for Advanced Bystander Assistance, adding an extra layer of preparedness to her firearms professionalism. Hunter Storm has not only undergone accident scene management, emergency response, and CPR training. She also served as the designated ‘floor warden’ for the third floor Security Operations Center (SOC) of a Fortune 100 corporate office building. The global enterprise entrusted her with emergency response responsibilities for this sensitive area. She also received additional specialized training. This role included being equipped with an emergency backpack and being designated as the last person to exit the building in case of an emergency.

Hunter’s commitment to maintaining a safe range environment is complemented by her dedication to providing comprehensive firearms instruction.

Specializing in creating a welcoming atmosphere, Hunter pays special attention to first-time and new shooters. she guides them from initial apprehension to confidence in a matter of minutes. She likes to say that her unique approach takes individuals “from scared to prepared.” She fosters a positive, empowering, and enjoyable experience on the live-fire range.
